In Mama's Arms

I don't think I would have ever described myself as a...Lactivist. But as I enter the second round of nursing, I'm starting to become more comfortable with that term. By the end of Lily's nursing days, I was done. I had forgotten the precious moments we used to share, just the two of us. The moments in the middle of the night, when the whole world was sleeping and she was chugging away; the breaks in the middle of the park when chaos and giggles swirled around us; the comforting embraces reassuring us both that sometimes, Mama can make it all better; they are all so precious to me.

The haze of sleep deprivation has started to cloud those memories and the photographer in me wishes I could have captured those moments with her. This is why I'm offering a new service for my clients, unique to Mae Burke Photography.

Side note, these two mamas are the best of friends :]  Love, love, loved working with them.

In Mama's Arms Mini Sessions will be 30 minute sessions of you and your baby at your favorite spot to nurse. At home in your rocker, outside in your garden, down the street at your local coffee house, you name it, I want to take your picture there. My hope is to help women not only feel confident about breastfeeding, whenever, wherever, but beautiful as well.

  2. This is why I'm offering these sessions, Heather. I wish I had them too, although, I guess Eamon COULD take them, lol. But Micah IS still nursing. I think a session is just what you need to celebrate his nursing progress ;]
